Become a Sister!

Rho Psi Eta at Hunter College hosts rush every semester! Be on a look out in the beginning of each semester to see the events being held. In the mean time, the eligibility requirements and criteria for being a rushee, pledge and active member are listed below.

Criteria

Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75
Be currently enrolled as a full-time student in good standing
Plan to continue for no fewer than 5 quarters or 4 semesters, including the pledging period
Have an intention to pursue a career in a health-related field
Represent the three founding pillars of Rho Psi Eta (academic integrity, community service, and sisterhood).

Rush Eligibility

Attend all mandatory Rush events, to include:
- An informal interview, to be conducted by active members
- A formal interview, to be conducted by the panel of officers
- A bid event, in which selected rush candidates are given the opportunity to formally accept a bid to begin the pledge process.
Attending optional rush events is not required but may increase your chance of being offered a bid.
More information will be released over the course of the rush process

Responsibilities of Pledges

Each pledge class organizes a fundraising event and a community service event.
Each pledge must complete ten hours of community service per semester, five of which must be through Rho Psi Eta.
Attend at least three sisterhood events per semester, including mandatory events.
Participate in 1-2 study hours per week.
Attend pledge education and weekly chapter meetings.
Become CPR certified

Responsibilities of Active Members

Complete ten hours of community service per semester, five of which must be through Rho Psi Eta.
Attend at least three sisterhood events per semester, including mandatory events.
Participate in 1-2 study hours per week.
Attend weekly chapter meetings.
Maintain certification in CPR.
